The Original texts of Ayurveda do not discuss anything like 80/20 Rule. But these days some experts think that it is good to follow the rule, that is, you follow the suggestions of an Ayurvedic doctor up to 80% and leave cheating for up to 20%. This is an over simplification of a much complex issue in our opinion.
There can't be a standard answer to that, although a mixture of HALDI i.e. Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon, Pepper one pinch and AMALAKI 1/4 teaspoon could be considered very good. But Speak to your doctor, there is no single treatment that suits all or that can be generalised. There are herbs that do work very effectively.
Yes it can. It does include diet restrictions, proper exercise and strict daily routine. It certainly depends of the severity and chronicity and the type of diabetes.
The Primary Aim of YOGA is "enlightenment" by getting control over your mind and Body.
Ayurveda aims to attain health and cure diseases, so that you could attain "enlightenment" some day after you have achieved understanding "DHARMA"(law of the society), accumulating some "ARTHA" (wealth, fortune, power, etc.) to fulfil your "KAMA" (desires and wishes).
They follow some common philosophical background, like the SANKHYA Philosophy, VAISHESHIKA Philosophy. The triad of the Body Mind and Soul, the way they are connected to each other via PRANA and the PANCHAPRANA, the TRIGUNA viz. SATVA, RAJA, TAMA etc.
